The Baltimore Bar w/ T.Go, Ya Hines, and Travie P (Editorial + Interviews)

#AMPtv Media recently got the chance to catch a performance in Downtown Detroit that showcased some great talent that night. In this editorial, J Focuz will give his first hand account on the great performances that took place as well courtesy of Lowes Brothers Entertainment and Rich Mind.

It was June 19th, 2014 and all I can say was there certainly was a party at The Baltimore Bar in Downtown Detroit. It was 10:24 and the artists were just starting to arrive. After my brief time being at the venue I noticed people trying to figure out who I was. I grabbed a Bud Light and proceeded to pound out this Expose’ on Lowe Brother’s Entertainment. Richmind had sponsored the event and before I forget, shout out to Travie P. DJ K Woods was on the 1’s and 2’s spinning the usual favorites.

Majority of my night was spent trying to stay professional but the dance floor kept calling me though. I just felt like I had to contribute to the party. Grabbed a number or two waiting on the first act around 11:11pm. No sound check, T.Go went on the stage first.

The start of his performance was spontaneous and unexpected as all eyes instantly darted toward the stage area like rifle bullets. He walked to the front of the building towards the door and walked back to the front as he ended a track with no hook to begin his set. The intensity in how he said his lyrics let me know how into the moment he wasa. I didn’t know what to expect as the beat for Drake’s “Trophies” began to play. I figured his set was over he went straight into the track and Drake assisted with the songs original hook as he continued by rapping “Bitch I’m from Ohio.”

Overall, his energy was there and he seemed very prepared for the occasion. The crowd wasn't where it was supposed to be which is probably something that could have affected his performance. As he went into his next track the same energy continued flowing.

Ya Hines came on stage with his heartfelt flows and street persona. I walked in from doing my interview with T.Go when he was on his second song “Clutch.” He was on his last track and the dj almost played a song he wanted to premiere on radio. He proceeded to a track “Niggas Ain't Fuckin With Me.” With camera phones in his face, he ended his set complete with drunk guy vibing out at the front of the stage and all.

More artists started arriving as 11:30 rolled around. Earl Marshall jumped on the stage and it seems like the whole party decided to show up with him. Equipped with his own personal camera man I decided not to do so much work during his set while writing this. You could tell his fans were really in the building from the vibe while he performed “My Shit Bang.” A drunk dude decided in the middle of Earl’s first song he’d do a tipsy tumble onto the stage area. Earl Marshall had then moved into his next song which was a joint that he said was specifically “for the ladies.” Somehow I had made it to my third brew when Grindhouse’s B.Pat and Travie P was about to approach the stage.

Travie went into his first song with first getting the crowd involved getting them to scream out the name of his camp “Richmind” and performed his song “Mr. Right Now”. He instantly jumped into his next track afterward and had everybody jumping. “I Believe in Make Believe”certainly had people on ten as he sent the cork to his bottle of Rose’ flying with the start of his “We Like To Party.” I gotta say the Hangover Gang anthem was really a party banger and he put on an awesome show.

Closing out his set, he stood on the dj table and got people rocking with his “Smoking Good” track. Followed by his “Get Wild, Go Crazy” song which features Florida native 2Pistols. If Travie P wasn’t drunk, I don’t know what drunk is. J Focuz signing off from this Baltimore Bar expose’ brought to you by Lowe Brother’s Entertainment.
