J Focuz Speaks On Writing For MC Breed, Premium The Mixtape and New Record Deal For BSE (Article)

#AMPtv got the word that the debut B.O.S.S. Status Ent mixtape my be dropping sooner than expected.

We got a few words from J Focuz regarding his time spent with Michigan rap legend MC Breed, who had hits including "No Future In Yo Frontin" and "Gotta Get Mine feat. Tupac".

"Working with (MC) Breed was a whole new experience for me at the time. I went from recording on an 8 track recorder to in the booth with the legend himself." Said JFocuz at a meeting held at Wayne State University January 22nd. "Writing for him was my first time writing for anybody other than myself. Breed was the type who got in the booth and recorded the bars as he thought them up. No pen no pad. So I would engineer the sessions and whenever he needed help I'd throw him a "Life Line".

The Inkster, MI native then went on to speak on the upcoming project "Premium" considering it as a mixtape.

"We'll have some exclusives on (Premium) from No Risk No Reward but it's mainly a chance for us to just snap on some industry beats most that people from Detroit will know very well." He went on to add "Premium is the pre-tape for NRNR featuring our singles from our solo projects as well as group songs with me, Jazz (Music), Spade (Amillion) and (The Lovely) Bones.

J Focuz went on to speak on No Risk No Reward briefly and the record deal that is set up for it to be promoted.

"We're working with Ice Sounds on this one. They'll be helping us distribute the music and who knows what else we'll be doing with them. It's (No Risk No Reward) gonna be something you really don't wanna miss. It'll be available on Itunes some time this summer."
