Nipsey Hussle also spoke on the album with MTV today, and says that 100 hard copies of "Mailbox Money" will be available to be purchased for $1,000 via Proud 2 Pay. People who purchase the hard copy version of the album also will be able to attend a listening session for his highly anticipated Victory Lap album. In addition, Mailbox Money, which he says is the “album before the album,”  drops for free on iTunes.

Production credits as of now include Hit-Boy and DJ Mustard and features tracks are said to include Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug. “It’s all original music,” Nipsey Hussle says of the album. “Being honest, these ain’t mixtapes. They’re albums. These original songs, concepts, the biggest producers, the biggest rappers in the game are a part of [it] and bringing creativity to [it]. I don’t want to devalue it by calling it a mixtape. It’s really just music — more conversations for my people.”

The LA rap artist released his Crenshaw mixtape in a similar approach. Through Proud 2 Pay, he reportedly made $100,000 from the sales of it. Neighborhood Nip said that Jay Z showed his support by purchasing 100 of the 1,000 copies via Roc Nation.
