Gucci Mane Pleads Not Guilty To Assault Charge
UPDATE #2: Gucci Mane is out on bond, "just going about his life," his attorney said.
Yesterday, Atlanta, Georgia rapper Gucci Mane was released from custody after being incarcerated since March 26. The Warner Bros. Records star and his lawyer were believed to have posted the $75,000 bond to allow the rapper freedom. Previous statements indicated thatGucci would be taken to DeKalb County, where his was on probation from a previous misdemeanor violation.
It appears that Gucci Mane never reported to the court.TMZ reports that within one day of his release, Gucci was apprehended today for a probation violation.
Details are still emerging, but the Brick Squad 1017 leader is believed to be back in custody at this time. Gucci was presently pending trial on an aggravated assault charge, for battering a U.S. soldier with a bottle, which he was indicted for earlier in the week.

UPDATE: TMZ.com has reported that Gucci Mane was released from incarceration earlier today (May 2). The Atlanta, Georgia resident is due back in court later this month in the pending case. Reports that he was sharing a cell with Brick Squad 1017 affiliate Young Scooter remain unsubstantiated by Gucci's spokespeople or his label, Warner Bros./Atlantic Records.

UPDATE: Gucci Mane pleaded not guilty to an aggravated assault charge in a Georgia courtroom today, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The Atlanta rapper is accused of hitting a soldier over the head with a champagne bottle at a night club in March. He is out on $75,000 bond and "just going about his life," according to his attorney, Drew Findling.
