J. Cole Says Truly Yours 2 drops 4/30, Admits Being Cheap W/ Drake & Upset At Jay-Z (Audio+Download)

#AMPtv got the word that Roc Nation rapper J. Cole is hoping to hold fans over as they patiently wait for his upcoming Born Sinner solo album by announcing plans to drop a Truly Yours 2 project today (April 30). The Jay-Z protégé announced the unexpected project's Tuesday release last night (April 29).
"F*ck it. Truly Yours 2 tomorrow. You Deserve it.," Cole tweeted late Monday night.

The new mystery project is a follow-up to its predecessor, which dropped in February.
J. Cole on his Twitter account just announced Truly Yours 2-the official sequel to his Born Sinner holdover 5-track free EP which dropped in February. Shortly after releasing the newly recorded track "Cole Summer," he announced a brand new EP for the fans. Cole says Truly Yours 2 will drop within the next 24 hours. Why is Cole being so kind to his fans at such a late hour? Because they deserve it.

Shortly before the news, the rapper released his personal "Cole Summer" anthem which touches on a variety of topics including being a penny-pincher and having issues with Roc Nation boss Jay-Z's demands.
As he nears completion on his sophomore album, J. Cole takes a break from recording to remind us that he's coming with heat this summer. On the soulful "Cole Summer," the self-proclaimed "cheap ass ni**a" raps about throwing thousands in the strip club with Drake ("The difference is I'm throwing 4, he throwing 50"), Jay-Z's orders to record with Stargate ("That shit was like detention now"), and dreams of Tia and Tamera Mowry. The cover is a reference to his mother, who used to work at the post office. "I told her quit her job, but hold your horses/ If my next album flop, it's back to the post office, both of us," he raps over a sample of Lauryn Hill's "Nothing Even Matters."
