With High Success from Nicki Minaj while Azalea Banks and Iggy Azalea's gaining anticipation it seems we have more female emcees on the rise than we notice. Wiz Khalifa weighs in on why he thinks Taylor Gangs first lady Lola Monroe is the best female rapper.
In a recent interview with VladTV, Wiz says Lola Monroes's talent eclipses that of her femcee peers.Explaining that her story as an Ethiopian transplant to Washington D.C. gives her an edge on the competition and a more compelling back-story.
"Lola Monroe, she's the First Lady of Taylor Gang, she's the only chick that raps in Taylor Gang," he explained. "She’s iller than any female artist I’ve ever heard in my life. She’s so much better than any female…just her lyrical ability. I know a lot of people say that shit, but she's from D.C., and nobody's heard that story before...from a female. You've heard all these other stories and all this other shit, but you have heard her's yet, so I feel she's different, she's better."
